I am Katrina Shimer, a Southwest Florida Realtor and a true Naples local with deep roots in this community. I have lived in Naples since I was four years old, and my knowledge of this area comes from more than maps, market reports, and MLS data. It comes from growing up here, watching Southwest Florida change, knowing the neighborhoods, understanding the schools, learning the back roads, and seeing how each community has developed over time. Southwest Florida is not just where I work. It is where I grew up, raised my family, built relationships, and created a life.

Real estate has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I am a second-generation local real estate professional, raised by a real estate broker and a general contractor. That combination gave me a unique perspective early on and taught me to evaluate property from more than one angle. I understand how location, construction, condition, flood zones, insurance, resale potential, neighborhood trends, and lifestyle can all affect a real estate decision.

Before becoming a full-time Realtor, I spent many years as a teacher. That background still shapes the way I work with my clients today. I believe people make better decisions when they are informed, prepared, and supported. For buyers, I help identify the details that matter beyond the listing photos, including property condition, insurance and flood considerations, HOA costs, neighborhood fit, resale potential, and overall value. My local knowledge helps clients understand not only what they are buying, but also how a community may fit their lifestyle and long-term goals.

For sellers, I focus on preparation, pricing, marketing, negotiation, and problem-solving. Whether you are selling a longtime family home, relocating, downsizing, handling an inherited property, or navigating a more complicated sale, I help create a clear strategy designed to protect your equity and make the process as manageable as possible.

I am also a Senior Transition Specialist, helping seniors and their families navigate one of life’s most significant transitions. When remaining at home is no longer the best option, I can assist with identifying appropriate assisted living and senior living communities, coordinating the move, downsizing, arranging estate sales and the disposition of household belongings, and managing the real estate side of the transition. My goal is to provide families with one knowledgeable point of contact who can help organize the many moving pieces while treating the senior and their family with patience, dignity, and respect.
